Gran Fondo per Haiti / road bike



The Gran Fondo for Haiti is one of the main cyclist events in our territory. The complete track is long about 141 km
and almost 3000 mt of difference in height. This track can be done in two days, giving everyone with any different level of training the chance to complete it. The itinerary both starts and ends in Cividale del Friuli, goes along secondary streets with low traffic and gives many
chances to enjoy beautiful views. It starts from Cividale and continues in the direction of San Pietro al Natisone, at the very beginning of the Valli del Natisone. Turn left in the direction of Vernasso. Continue along river Natisone until a bridge by Tiglio’s village. Cross the bridge
in order to take the direction of San Pietro al Natisone and take the road that leads to Azzida and Savogna.
When arrived to the village of Savogna after the bridge take the road on the left and go uphill in the direction of Montemaggiore passing by Stermizza. When arrived by Montemaggiore, situated at the bottom of mount Matajur, take the road that goes downhill on the right to reach the
village of Cepletischis. Cross the village and turn right in the direction of Grimacco. When arrived to a village called Clodig go uphill in the direction of Sverinaz, cross the village of Drenchia and continue on the road that leads to Stregna. From this point go all the way down through
San Leonardo, Purgessimo and Cividale del Friuli. From Cividale continue in the direction of Moimacco, followed by Ziracco, Ronchis, Faedis and Attimis. From this point continue on the road to Porzus, and from the top follow the instructions to reach the villages of Canebola and Faedis.
In order to return to Cividale del Friuli, at the end of the way downhill, turn left, the route ascends until Valle and after starts to go back down in the direction of Campeglio. Turning left you arrive back to Cividale del Friuli.
